Today was a BIG day. We have been awaiting the shipment of Preserve toothbrushes at Whole Foods for several months now. These aren’t just any toothbrushes, but toothbrushes made of completely recycled materials. Recycled stuff like yogurt cups and other out of the ordinary items that usually are not accepted by household recycling centers. We came across these toothbrushes several months ago at Whole Foods, the adult ones are pretty easy to find, but they always seem to be out of the kid ones. There are three different brushes to choose from and each of them represents/benefits an endangered animal from the World Wildlife Federation. Today was our lucky day! Whole Foods had just received a full shipment so Zoe had her choice of all three animals to pick from. They had a parrot, a tortoise, and a tiger, and after about 10 minutes deep thought and indecision Zoe finally opted for the St Lucia Parrot. The fact that it was hot pink with yellow bristles probably had a lot to do with her decision. Zoe has brushed her teeth at least 3 times since we got home. Not only have we contributed to the environment, and the WWF, but also our child’s dental hygiene habits. A good day indeed!
