Grand Daddy/Daughter Dance

Grammy and Granddad came up for a long weekend so Granndad could escort Zoe to the Grand Daddy/Grand Daughter dance.  Zoe had a hair appointment Thursday night, so when we took Zoe to the salon Shelli's parents went with us to meet all the ladies at the salon. We had a good time chatting up the night and educating Granddad on hair extensions and weaves.

On the night of the dance, Granddad and Zoe looked amazing!  It's so special that Zoe has been blessed to go to this dance for 3 years with the most special men in her life. I was anxiously waiting for them to get home so I could hear all the details. Skip took lots of great pictures and videos of the night. Zoe gave us a play by play and they were both worn out by the time they got home. They had a BLAST!

It was a short visit and despite the weather we were still able to have a great time. We played our new Uno Attack card game, and even had a chance to do a little thrift shopping.  We are looking forward to seeing Granddad and Grammy again this summer.

Snow Day

Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was a snow day. We took total advantage and spent the day together hanging out. It doesn't get much better than this.....

Karate

Zoe started a new Karate studio a few weeks ago. She had to memorize the Dojo creed and several moves to earn her white belt. On Friday, Zoe received her white belt. She was so excited about it that she wore her uniform to dinner to show off her new belt. We are very proud of her!

Valentine's Day

Shelli has been in Europe for the past 8 days. She got home late this afternoon. It felt like she was gone for 2 months HOWEVER, we are glad she is back in the US .. Safe and Sound!

Zoe and I spent Valentine's together and it couldn't of been more perfect. We woke up early and went to IHOP for breakfast before heading to a 10AM movie to see Paddington. Just us two girls, hanging out, enjoying the day together. Don't get me wrong, we missed Mimi but when Mimi is away, mommy and Zoe will play.

Nothing fancy happened here. We spent the evening in front of the fire place, watching the snow fall, watching TV, and just catching up on quality time.
