I’m sorry
that I haven’t been more on top of the blog. The truth is, I have a love-hate
with the blog. I find it hard lately to find the time to sit and blog. Shelli
had been in and out of the country on business a lot the past 6 months and I
just don’t have the mental energy to blog sometimes. I could probably blog
every other day with all we’ve got going on. However when the time comes I can
actually sit down and blog, I’m too tired.
Yesterday,
I was able to get to Zoe’s basketball game and watching her play basketball and
it made me smile from ear to ear. Sure, our lives are hectic,
no relationship is perfect, Shelli is always somewhere (far away) for
work, which makes me wear several hats and run around doing every thing by
myself. But then when I'm sitting in the gym watching Z play ball,
and watching Shelli video tape her daughter play a sport that she played
her whole life a calm comes over me and it somehow brings me peace. I just sit
back and take it all in.
Every time Z makes a basket she looks over to make sure we were watching, and her smile says it all, Shelli will go over and sit with Zoe at her breaks and give her that extra push of support. I listen to the girls shouting and cheering, “Let’s go Clovers, Let’s go!” as Shelli videos Zoe and 'coaches' from the sidelines. I don’t know a lot about basketball but I clap, I cheer, and most of all, I feel content.
I’ll be the
first to admit that life gets crazy and overwhelming but, I also know
everything I (we) do is all about Zoe. She is our every thing!
